Assignment: Rebranding the municipality of Maasmechelen, utilizing their existing logo and colours while applying it across diverse mediums.
Approach: My strategy centered on storytelling through imagery, supported by a sleek, minimal, and approachable brand identity.

Merchandise

During our collaboration with Maasmechelen, we developed a fun and interactive approach to merchandise. We created a set of symbolic shapes, acting as building blocks for various items. A great example involved providing these cut-outs to local children, tasking them with creating imaginative creatures. We then digitized their illustrations and featured them on the merchandise.

Tourism

The tourism department, Visit Maasmechelen, also brought us on board for several assignments, most notably their website and tourism brochure. For Visit Maasmechelen, we applied a slightly softer, more pastel version of the brand colours. This created a clear, yet connected, visual distinction between the two entities.
